Odisha Government DA Hike: After the Central Government, the State Government has also started giving the gift of increase in salary to the employees. Now after the UP Government, now the Odisha Government has also announced increase in Dearness Allowance for the employees. Employees and pensioners of Orissa state will get more salary and pension from now on.
The state government has given the gift of increasing dearness allowance to the employees before Diwali. In this festive season, employees will get their increased salary and arrears before Diwali.
Odisha Government hikes by 4% the Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (TI)to State government employees and pensioners respectively to enhance the rate from 42% to 46%. The enhanced DA and TI will be paid from 1st July retrospectively.

ANI’s tweet reads that the Odisha government has increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (TI) for state government employees and pensioners by 4% respectively, taking the latter from 42% to 46%. DA will be available at that rate. Payment of increased DA and TI is effective from July 1.
4.5 lakh employees will get benefit
4.5 lakh state government employees and 3.5 lakh pensioners will benefit from the increased dearness allowance by the Orissa government. Let us tell you that the employees will get the money in the form of arrears for the months of July, August and September.
Central government has also increased dearness allowance
The central government has also recently increased the dearness allowance of employees by 4 percent. From now on, all central government employees will get dearness allowance at the rate of 46 percent. Earlier, central government employees used to get dearness allowance at the rate of 42 percent.
Dearness allowance increases twice a year
Let us tell you that dearness allowance is increased twice a year by the central and state governments. The first increase is made in January and the second increase is made in July. About 52 lakh employees and 60 lakh pensioners of the country get its benefit.
