6th-7th Pay Commission, Employees DA Hike: A 4 percent increase in dearness allowance was announced for the employees. For this the approval was given in the cabinet meeting. At the same time, orders have also been issued for this. The employees have been given the benefit of 4% dearness allowance increase under the Seventh Pay Commission. With this, their salary will see an increase of up to Rs 27,000.
42 percent benefit in dearness allowance
In Jharkhand, the dearness allowance of state government employees was increased by 4 percent. It was approved in the cabinet meeting in the past. On the other hand, according to the central government, the employees taking the benefit of the seventh pay revision with effect from January 1, 2016, will be given a benefit of 42 percent in dearness allowance from January 1, 2023. A resolution has been issued for this. Let us inform that at present the employees are being given the benefit of 38 percent DA increase. The DA hike will impact the exchequer to the tune of Rs 441.52 crore per annum.
Payment of 4 months arrears
As soon as the order is issued, the employees will be provided with 42 percent salary of dearness allowance on one hand. Same they will be paid arrears of 4 months. Dearness allowance has been made effective from January 1, 2023 for all employees. At the same time, 42 percent dearness relief will be made available for pensioners on basic pension.
9 percent increase in DA of sixth pay scale employees
Not only this, the dearness allowance has also been increased by the government for the employees getting the sixth pay scale. His dearness allowance has been increased at the rate of nine per cent. Orders have been issued for this. Dearness Allowance has been increased from 212% to 221% to the employees who get 6th Central Pay Scale from 28 February 2009.
An agreement was made in the cabinet meeting on April 27 regarding the increase in dearness allowance. After the consent of the CM, a resolution in this regard has been issued by Ajay Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary, Finance Department, on 3 May. At the same time, the employees will be paid the increased DA including arrears of 4 months from the month of June.
