For the next half year, the dearness allowance of central employees will increase by 4% to 46%. On the other hand, the government may consider increasing their fitment factor as well. Minimum wage can be increased. No official statement has been revealed for this at the moment.
At present the fitment factor of central employees is 2.57 per cent. And the dearness allowance is 42 percent. At present, salary is being provided on this basis under the Seventh Pay Commission. Under the Seventh Pay Commission, the fitment factor can be increased from 2.57 to 3 percent or 3.68 percent. The fitment factor may be increased in 2024 based on the recommendation of the 7th Pay Commission. There elections are to be held in 2024. In such a situation, preparations can be made to implement it from 2026.
The fitment factor had increased so much
Earlier in 2016, the fitment factor was increased. Seventh Pay Commission was also implemented. With which the minimum salary of the employees was increased from ₹ 6000 to ₹ 18000. If the Modi government revises the rates of fitment factor, then the salary of the employees will be seen to increase by two and a half times. At the same time, their basic salary can increase from ₹ 18000 to 21000 or 26000.
The same possibility is being expressed that the Finance Department will consider the demands of the employees and on the basis of review the recommendation will be sent to the Finance Ministry. The decision on the fitment factor can be taken at the time of formation of the new pay commission next year. Apart from this, the government can also make important preparations on the automatic pay revision system. Under this, the salary of the employees will automatically increase under the new formula in a certain period of time.
