DA Hike up tp 45 Percent from July 1: The Central Government is going to announce an increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for its more than one crore employees and pensioners, after which the minimum DA is likely to be Rs 10575.
New Delhi: The Central Government is going to announce an increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for its more than one crore employees and pensioners. The government is likely to increase the dearness allowance by 3 percent from the present 42 percent. In such a situation, a minimum of Rs 10575 will come as dearness allowance per month in the salary of the employees. Explain that to compensate for rising prices and inflation, DA is provided to employees and pensioners and the government increases DA twice a year.
Shiv Gopal Mishra, General Secretary of All India Railwaymen’s Federation has said that for June 2023, we are demanding an increase of four percentage points in the dearness allowance. But, the government is considering a 3 percent increase in dearness allowance. In such a situation, there is a strong possibility that the dearness allowance of central employees will be increased to 45 percent.
Presently, more than one crore central government employees and pensioners are getting dearness allowance at the rate of 42 per cent. The last change in DA was done on 24 March 2023 and it became effective from 1 January 2023. The new 3 percent increase will be made effective from July 1, 2023.
If there is 45 percent DA, the salary will increase by this much.
The increase in dearness allowance will benefit more than 1 crore central employees and pensioners. Let us understand from the example that if the dearness allowance is increased by 3 percent, how much salary will increase. If the basic salary of a central employee is Rs 23,500 per month, then according to 42 per cent DA, he currently gets a total dearness allowance of Rs 9,870 per month. If DA is made 45 percent, the amount he will get as dearness allowance per month will increase to Rs 10,575. That is, on the increase of 3 percent DA, the dearness allowance will increase by about Rs 705 per month per employee.
