DA Increase and LPG Cylinder Subsidy: Before the Lok Sabha elections, the Central Modi government has given an increased gift to the beneficiaries of PM Ujjwala Yojana. The time limit for subsidy given under this scheme chas been extended for one year. Union Minister Piyush Goyal gave this information in a press conference.
Subsidy of Rs 300 will be available for one year (LPG Cylinder Subsidy)
Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that the time limit for subsidy of Rs 300 under the Ujjwala scheme has been extended for one year. Now it will continue till March 31, 2025. After getting subsidy, the cylinder will be available for Rs 603.
4 percent increase in DA (DA Increases 4 Percent)
The central government has also made a big announcement for lakhs of government employees. Piyush Goyal said that in the cabinet meeting, Modi government has approved 4 percent increase in DA. This DA increase will be applicable from January 1, 2024. Employees and pensioners will directly benefit from the increase. Now the total DA of central employees has become 50 percent. Earlier it was 46%.
North East industry will be promoted
Piyush Goyal told in the press conference that the industries of 8 states of North East will be promoted. The Cabinet has approved Unnati 2024 Scheme (North East Transformative Industrialization Scheme). According to Goyal, incentives worth more than Rs 10 thousand crore will be given to the industry and service sector.
