Approval was given in the cabinet for this. At the same time, the order has also been issued by the Finance Department. Under the order issued by the department, the dearness allowance of the employees has been increased by 4 percent, which will be effective from January 1, 2023. Along with this, the dearness allowance of the employees has increased to 42 percent.

Payment of 3 months arrears

The order was issued by the Finance Department on 3 April. In the issued order, it was said that the dearness allowance to be effective from 1 January 2023 will be calculated on basic pay. Dearness allowance is to be paid to the employees under the seventh pay scale. It has been written in the order that along with the dearness allowance, 3 months arrears will be paid to the employees. Earlier in the cabinet meeting, the proposal to increase dearness allowance by 4 per cent was approved.
