Everyone dreams of their own house in the capital of the country, Delhi. If you are also looking for cheap house in Delhi, then hurry up, because the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is going to sell 13,000 flats on the first-come-first-served basis.

DDA Commissioner VS Yadav said that applications are now being taken for the flats left from sale in the Special Housing Scheme 2021. Under the scheme, a draw was conducted a few weeks ago, in which only 5,227 buyers could be allotted houses. A total of 18,335 flats were to be allotted under the scheme.

Now the application has been made again in the ministry for the sale of the remaining flat. If this is approved, then the remaining 13 thousand flats will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis.

Buyers will be selected by draw

Sources say that the remaining flats belong to the old housing scheme and the agency will have to take permission from the ministry before putting it up for sale again. Once the approval comes from there, the buyers will start asking for applications for these flats.

After this, the final buyer will be selected through a draw. This draw will be for such flats which are either surrendered or rejected or have not been sold.

Most Flats in Narela

The largest number of flats offered for sale are in Narela, where buyers are looking for around 8,000 flats. Apart from this, many flats are also vacant in Rohini, Dwarka, Siraspur, Ramgarh and Lok Nayak Puram. VS Yadav said that many buyers did not get allotment despite their names appearing in the draw.

However, those who put money in terms of investment have definitely included their name. In such a situation, if the buyers of the already allotted flats show interest again, then they will be given an opportunity without a draw. There will be about 20 percent of the buyers who can take part in it.

DDA is unable to sell flats since 2014

Home buyers now due to getting more facilitiesDDAIt is better to buy flats from private developers instead. This is the reason why DDA has failed to sell its flats since 2014. Then about 10 thousand buyers had surrendered their flats to DDA. He said that apart from the small size of the flats sold in Bawana, Narela and Rohini, there is also the problem of connectivity from here.

A senior DDA official said that we are working on it and the problem will be resolved soon. In DDA’s new infra project, special care is being taken of connectivity. Facilities like Third Ring Road, Knowledge City and Metro will soon be started in Narela too.
