10 states of the country have increased the dearness allowance of their employees by 4 to 6 percent. The benefit of increased dearness allowance has been given in the salary of October.
Before Diwali, the Central and State Governments have given gifts to their lakhs of government employees and pensioners. On the one hand, the Modi government at the Center has increased the dearness allowance by 4 percent and implemented it from July 1, 2022. On the other hand, 10 states of the country have increased the dearness allowance of their employees by 4 to 6 percent. The benefit of increased dearness allowance has been given in the salary of October.
4% DA hike in Jharkhand
On October 10, Jharkhand government has increased dearness allowance by 4% for employees and pensioners. This increase in DA has been approved to be implemented from 1st July 2022. According to media reports, this increase will benefit about 2 lakh government employees and 1.35 lakh pensioners of the state. Earlier DA in Jharkhand was 34% which has now increased to 38%.
5% dearness allowance increased in Chhattisgarh
The Chhattisgarh government, while issuing an order on October 14, has increased the dearness allowance by 5% to 33%. This increase in DA has been approved from 1 October 2022. According to media reports, about 3.80 lakh employees of the state will benefit from this increase.
4% DA hike in Uttar Pradesh
The Uttar Pradesh government, while issuing an order on October 18, has increased the dearness allowance by 4%. This increase in DA has been approved to be implemented from July 1, 2022, after which dearness allowance in the state has increased from 34% to 38%.
4 percent DA hike in Assam
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has also increased the DA of state employees from 34 per cent to 38 per cent in the past. The DA hike will be done on the lines of the central government from July 1. The benefit of increased DA will be available in the salary of November, the same 3 months arrears will also be paid.
Odisha also got a gift
In the month of September, the Naveen Patnaik government of Odisha had also announced a three percent hike in DA. DA has been increased from 31% to 34%. This decision of the state government will be implemented from January 1, 2022. About four lakh state workers and 3.5 lakh pensioners will be benefited by this decision.
Haryana also increased 4% DA
Haryana government has increased dearness allowance by 4% to 38%. It has been told in the order that the DA for the period from July to September will be paid in the month of November.
Delhi-Rajasthan also increased 4% DA,
Delhi and Rajasthan government have increased dearness allowance by 4% for their state employees and pensioners. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot tweeted that “Dearness allowance has also been increased by 4% for state employees on the lines of central government employees. Now state employees and pensioners will get 38% dearness allowance.
Punjab increased 6% DA, old pension also applicable
The Punjab government, while issuing an order on October 21, has increased the dearness allowance by 6% to the employees of its state. This hike in DA has been approved to be implemented from October 1.
