Giving a gift to the employees of the state, the order to increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) by 4 percent has been issued by the Finance Department. Due to this, the dearness allowance of the employees will increase from 34 to 38 percent. This rule will be applicable from January 2023, its benefit will be given to 7.50 lakh government employees of the state.
MP Employee DA Hike 2023: The Shivraj government of Madhya Pradesh has given a big gift to lakhs of government employees of the state. After the teachers, the state government has now increased the dearness allowance of the employees by 4 percent, after which the total DA of the employees has increased from 34 percent to 38 percent. This will be applicable from January 1, 2023, the Finance Department, MP Government has issued orders in this regard. Its benefit will be given to 7.50 lakh employees of the state.
According to the order issued, at present government servants were being given dearness allowance at the rate of 34 per cent in the seventh pay scale from August 1, 2022, but after a 4 per cent increase, now 38 per cent dearness allowance will be given to the employees from January 2023. At the same time, no part of dearness allowance will be considered as salary for any purpose. The state government has also given instructions that the expenditure incurred on payment of dearness allowance to government servants should not exceed the provision of the approved budget of the concerned department for the current year.
CM had announced in the past
In fact, while discussing with the media recently, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan had said that the state government will also increase the dearness allowance by four percent to the state employees. Orders for its payment will be issued in a day or two. After this, today on January 27, 2023, orders have been issued in this regard. After this increase, the dearness allowance of state employees has become 38 percent similar to that of central employees. It is estimated that this decision will put an additional financial burden of Rs 1,400 crore on the state government every year.
- How much salary will increaseThere are 06 lakh 40 thousand regular government employees in Madhya Pradesh and 1 lakh 10 thousand employees are daily wage earners, in such a way seven and a half lakh employees of the state will get its benefit.
- 50 paise or more of Dearness Allowance shall be rounded off to the next higher figure, while the amount of less than 50 paise shall be ignored, as per the Order. According to the order issued, no part of the dearness allowance will be considered as salary.
- With the increase in DA, those getting a minimum salary of Rs 15,500 will get Rs 625 and employees getting a maximum salary of Rs 2 lakh 15000 will get a benefit of Rs 9000 per month. This includes all categories of state government employees.
- At the same time, 33 percent dearness allowance is being given to the pensioners, which is five percent less than the pensioners of the central government.
