Just before Diwali, DDA is going to launch the biggest housing scheme till date (DDA Housing Scheme 2023).
How many flats in DDA Housing Scheme
There have been reports that DDA’s housing scheme coming up before Diwali will have 32,500 flats. The application process for this is about to start. This scheme of DDA can include EWS, LIG, MIG, HIG and Super HIG flats as well as penthouses. Informed sources say that this scheme can be launched any time. Most of the flats of this scheme will be in Narela, Dwarka Sector 19B, Dwarka Sector- 14 and Loknayak Puram.

2BHK, 3BHK and 4BHK flats in this housing scheme of DDA may be a little expensive compared to other places in NCR. This time there are flats of different budgets in DDA’s housing scheme. It is also noteworthy that for the first time, DDA is including HIG, Super HIG, MIG, LIG and EWS flats along with premium class flats.
DDA has released the number and rates of flats. If we talk about the price of these flats, then EWS flats will be available for Rs 11 to 14 lakh. LIG flats will start from Rs 14 to Rs 30 lakh, MIG flats will start from Rs 1 crore, HIG flats will start from Rs 2.50 crore and Super HIG flats will start from Rs 3 crore.
Some have been completed and some are in the works.
The news has come quoting DDA that out of these flats, 24,000 flats have been ready, while the construction work of 8500 flats is going on. The construction work of all these flats is set to be completed within the next six months.

These DDA flats are in many places. For example, in Dwarka Sector 19B there are more than 700 flats in EWS category, more than 900 in MIG category, 170 in Super HIG category and 14 pent house flats. Similarly, in Narela there are more than 5,000 flats in EWS category, more than 1900 flats in MIG category and more than 1600 flats in HIG.
Loknayak Puram has more than 200 flats in the EWS category and more than 600 flats in the MIG category. Dwarka Sector 14 has more than 1,000 flats in the EWS category, more than 300 flats in the LIG category and also more than 300 flats in the MIG category.
The response to the first plan is not good
Even though DDA is preparing to launch the biggest scheme till date before Diwali, the response to the earlier scheme is not good. Many DDA flats are still lying vacant even after being sold. Many flats have been ready in Narela and Loknayak Puram for years, but there are no buyers.
DDA is spending lakhs of rupees annually on the repair and maintenance of these flats. Since 2014, DDA has brought about 57,000 flats under the housing scheme. Out of these, people have surrendered about 15,500 flats after allotment.
