Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot said the government will provide a subsidy of Rs 5,500 for the first 10,000 buyers of e-cycles in the city.
An additional subsidy of Rs 2,000 will also be given to the first 1,000 buyers of passenger e-cycles.
At the same time, subsidy will also be provided on the purchase of heavy duty cargo e-cycles and e-carts for commercial use. The subsidy on Cargo E-cycle will be ₹15,000 each for the first 5,000 buyers.
Corporate firms will also get subsidy The
minister said that earlier subsidy was provided to individual buyers of e-carts, now the company or corporate houses who buy these vehicles will also be given a subsidy of Rs 30,000. However, under the Delhi EV policy, only Delhi residents will be able to take advantage of this subsidy scheme.
E-cycles will become affordable
