According to the Noida Metro Rail Corporation, the Detail Project Report (DPR) of Noida’s Sector 142 Metro Route from Botanical Garden Metro Station in Noida has been prepared. If the proposal lands on the ground, Sector 142 of Noida and Greater Noida city will be the third interchange.
The first is Botanical and the second is at Sector-51, where there is an interchange of Aqua Line and Delhi Metro. Under the proposal, a metro train will be run from Noida Sector-142 to Botanical Garden under a new route.
Actually, the metro ran between Greater Noida and Noida, but not many people benefited from it. Especially for those who want to go from Greater Noida to Delhi, the journey of Aqua Line is insignificant.
The main reason for this is the time taken. In such a situation, under the new proposal, if the metro will be run from Botanical Garden to Sector 142, then more than 10 lakh people will benefit.
According to Ritu Maheshwari, MD of NMRC, less budget has been kept in the new DPR prepared on this route than before. According to him, earlier its budget was about 2,826 crores, but now 700 crores have been reduced from this.
People of 4 cities including Delhi-Noida will be benefitted
The connection of Botanicals with Pari Chowk in Greater Noida through Aqua Line will benefit not only the people of Noida-Greater Noida but also the people of Faridabad and Delhi.
The DPR of the new line starting from Botanical Garden has been prepared and soon this DPR will be sent to the Uttar Pradesh government. It is being told that if the Yogi Aditya Nath government agrees to this, then its work will also be started soon.
Regarding the proposal to add metro connectivity from Botanical Garden to Sector 142, Noida Metro Rail Corporation MD Ritu Maheshwari said that after the Botanical Garden is connected to Sector 142, the people of Noida along with Delhi will benefit a lot.
Ritu Maheshwari says that connectivity at the Botanical Garden will increase significantly. An interchange will be prepared at this station to go to Sector 142.
According to NMRC estimates, after the new interchange is built, around one million people will travel on this route every month. Apart from Noida-Greater Noida, people of Delhi will also benefit from this. Especially people will also save time.
