Delhi Metro: There is good news for the passengers traveling on the three busy corridors of Delhi Metro, Red, Yellow and Blue Line. Automatic fare collection gates will be increased. This decision has been taken by DMRC regarding the increasing number of passengers in the metro day by day. There is a 393 km network of metro in NCR and 3184 AFC gates have been installed at these stations.

Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) gates will be increased on the three busy corridors of Delhi Metro, Red, Yellow and Blue Line. Due to this, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has started the tender process to buy new AFC gates.

After the tender allocation, additional AFC gates will be installed at the stations of these three corridors in a phased manner in one year. This will increase the AFC gates by eight percent. This will provide relief to the passengers from the crowd.

These three lines of Delhi Metro are the busiest

The maximum number of passengers travel in the Yellow Line (Samaypur Badli-Millennium City Center Gurugram) metro. After this, the Blue Line (Dwarka Sector 21-Electronic City / Vaishali) is the second and the Red Line (Rithala- New Bus Adda Ghaziabad) is the third busiest corridor.
