Delhi weather alert: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a ‘red’ alert for Delhi on Tuesday, June 18 due to severe heat in the national capital, with the maximum temperature expected to reach 45 degrees Celsius. On Monday, the maximum temperature had reached 45.2 degrees Celsius.
The Meteorological Department has predicted clear skies with heatwaves at many places in Delhi on Tuesday. It has also predicted strong winds during the day.
When will there be relief from the heat
At the same time, the Meteorological Department has predicted some relief from the scorching heat from June 19. According to the seven-day forecast of the IMD, Delhi will get slight relief from Wednesday. The national capital is expected to be on ‘yellow’ alert on Wednesday and Thursday, while it will be put on ‘green’ alert on Friday and Saturday.
The IMD said that after Wednesday a new western disturbance will move towards northwest India, which will also affect the national capital and bring relief.
The condition of UP-Haryana and Bihar
According to the IMD weather bulletin, heat wave to severe heat wave conditions are likely to develop in most parts of Uttar Pradesh between June 18 and 19 and in Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi on June 18; heat wave conditions are likely to develop in some parts of Himachal Pradesh and Bihar on June 18, and thereafter its intensity will decrease in these areas.
