Under the issued order, public holiday has been declared in 37 districts. In the event of declaration of a public holiday, all government including private institutions, establishments and schools will be closed in total 37 districts including the capital.
Announcement of public holidays
In view of the civic elections to be held in Uttar Pradesh, a public holiday has been announced on May 4. The preparation is being finalized by the district administration on the instructions of the State Election Commission. The first phase of polling is to be held on May 4 in a total of 37 districts including 10 metros. In such a situation, a public holiday has been declared in the capital Lucknow on the day of polling.
Instructions have been given to keep all government and private establishments closed on May 4. Giving information on behalf of District Election Officer Suryapal Gangwar, it has been told that polling is to be held on May 4, Thursday. In such a situation, a public holiday has been declared in all the offices located in Lucknow under the control of the state government and the central government.
Not only this, DM informed that holiday has been declared in all business organizations, enterprises and all establishments including private institutions. Also, the shop in which work is done in a shift wise manner. There will also be a public holiday on May 4 among them.
Public holiday on May 4 in Kushinagar as well
Apart from this, in view of the civic elections, a public holiday has been announced on May 4 in Kushinagar as well. This information has been given by District Judge Ashok Kumar Sinha. The holiday has been announced on the orders of Allahabad High Court.
Public holidays in Pratapgarh
Apart from this, in view of the civic elections, May 4 has been declared a public holiday in the entire Pratapgarh by District Election Officer Nitin Bansal. The order said that a public holiday has been declared for peaceful polling in one municipality and 18 town panchayats of the district. In such a situation, all the institutions and shops of the district will be kept completely closed.
Second phase polling on May 11
Along with this, the second phase of urban body polling is to be held on May 11. In such a situation, voting will be held in all 20 local bodies on May 11 in Bareilly. The DM has declared a public holiday on 11th May to increase maximum voter’s participation in the polling. Holiday will be declared in government and semi-government offices. All educational institutions will also remain closed.
