Under this, preparations are being made to increase the salary of the employees. A proposal for this has been prepared by the department. If the proposal is approved by the Chief Minister’s Office, then the employees of the state will get more than the employees of many states.
Proposal to increase allowance ready
A proposal has been prepared by the Home Department of Haryana to increase the traveling allowance being received by the police personnel over the years. Police personnel may soon get the gift of hike in traveling allowance. Preparations are being made to increase the traveling allowance from Rs. 120 to Rs. 800 per month. If this proposal is approved, then it can be the highest travel allowance in the adjoining state of Haryana. Please tell that Punjab Police is getting less allowance than Chandigarh Police. In terms of pay scale, the scale of Punjab Police is more than that of Haryana, but at present some allowances are more in Haryana.
Economic burden of crores of rupees will increase
Earlier, from constable to inspector, ₹ 120 per month is being given as traveling allowance for the last 10 years. Now preparations have been made to increase it. The traveling allowance was not increased even after the 6th and 7th pay scales were implemented. A proposal for a fresh hike has been prepared. As soon as this becomes effective, there will be an economic burden of crores of rupees on the state government.
Demand for equal pay scale
Earlier, on behalf of the policemen and clerk grade in Haryana, the Hooda government was demanding the same pay scale as in Punjab. However, their demand has not been met for the last 8 years. Their demands are still pending for equal pay scales of Punjab. There has been an increase in the salary of the police personnel of Haryana but it is very less than Punjab and Chandigarh police at the grade level. Now preparations have been made by the Haryana government to increase the allowance of policemen amidst the demands of equal pay scale. If the allowance is increased by ₹ 800 then it will be a big gift for the policemen, along with this they will see an increase in their salary.
