Big decision in the interest of lakhs of employees
Rajasthan High Court has given a big decision in the interest of lakhs of retired employees of the state. In fact, the employees retiring till June 30 will be given the benefit of their last one year’s increment. While hearing the petition, its orders have been issued. Justice Anoop Dhad’s court has given important instructions while giving verdict on the petition of 150 people including Rambabu Gupta.
The benefit of annual increment is given on July 1 in the board and corporation associated with the state governments. At the same time, the employees who retired before June 30 did not get the benefit. After which the matter was challenged in the High Court by the retired employees. The decision was reserved by the High Court after hearing the matter before the summer vacation. On Friday, Justice Anoop has given verdict on more than 150 petitions.
Will get the benefit of annual increment
In his judgement, Justice has clarified that the employee who worked for more than 6 months in that year at the time of retirement will have to give the benefit of annual increment for that year. However, in this case, arguments were given in the court on behalf of the government. In which it was said that this decision will put an economic burden of crores of rupees on the government. However, this argument has been rejected by the court.
Benefits of Pension and Gratuity
After this decision, the employees retiring till June 30 will directly benefit from it. Tell that till now the retirement benefits, pension and gratuity benefits were made available to the retiring employees only on their current salary. After the decision of the court, they will get the benefit of increment of 1 year. Pension and other benefits to the employees will be calculated on their increased salary. After which the retiring employees will get a big benefit from this.
