The state government has issued orders to increase the dearness allowance by 3 percent, after which the total DA of the employees will be increased from 31 to 34 percent. This dearness allowance will be given from January 1, 2022, in which case arrears of 3 months will also be given.

Employees DA Hike: There is good news for lakhs of employees and pensioners of Himachal Pradesh. The Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu government of the state has increased the dearness allowance of the employees-pensioners by 3 per cent, after which the total DA of the employees-pensioners of the state has increased from 31 to 34 per cent. The new rates will be applicable from January, in which case the arrears will also be paid. The Finance Department has issued orders in this regard.

3.50 lakh employees-pensioners will be benefited

The state government has gifted two lakh employees and one and a half lakh pensioners of Himachal Pradesh. After the approval in the cabinet meeting, the state government has issued orders to increase the dearness allowance by 3 percent, after which the total DA of the employees will be increased from 31 to 34 percent. This dearness allowance will be given from January 1, 2022, in which case arrears of 3 months will also be available. The special thing is that this order has been issued at such a time when votes will be cast for Shimla Municipal Corporation (SMC) on May 2. While the election result will be declared on May 4.

Arrear benefits will be given along with salary in may

Under the order, dearness allowance will be payable as per the Himachal Pradesh Civil Services Revised Pay Scale Rules-2022. This office order will be applicable to All India Services, Himachal Pradesh Judicial Services and State Government employees covered under the UGC pay scales of the State Government. This additional dearness allowance will be given in cash along with the salary to be received in May of April 2023.

Pensioners will get arrears like this

The arrears between January 1, 2022 and March 31, 2023 will be deposited in the GPF account. It will be credited with the salary for May due in June. Interest will be credited in this account from June 1, 2023. Employees who have retired in the meantime or whose GPF accounts have been closed in the meantime, will be given arrear cash.

Apart from this, additional dearness allowance will also be payable to pensioners from January 1, 2022. This will also be given in the salary of April payable in May. Pensioners and family pensioners will also be given arrears from January 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023 in a single installment along with this salary.
