It has also been said in the proposal that the dearness allowance will cross 50 next year.
According to the report of Financial Express, the Senior Citizens Welfare Society of Railways has written a letter to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, along with appealing to set up the 8th Pay Commission, the society has said that from January 1, 2024, dearness allowance has increased to 50 percent. Will go In such a situation, all the three Central Pay Commissions have said in their recommendation that revision of salary should be done in future only when the dearness allowance and dearness relief increase to more than 50% of the basic salary. Under this recommendation, a memorandum has been sent to the Finance Minister on May 30.
In the memorandum given by the society, it was said that revision of salary is necessary to eliminate the effect of inflation. From January 2024, dearness allowance will reach 50% of the basic pay and it is necessary to review the salary relative to it. In such a situation, it is believed that the Central Government may announce the 8th Pay Commission soon. However, it is expected to be implemented by 2026.
Salary will increase so much
If the salary of an employee is ₹ 85500, then according to 46 percent, his dearness allowance will increase to ₹ 3420. Dearness allowances of more than ₹ 4000 will be seen in the account of employees with a basic salary of ₹ 100000 every month. If the basic salary is ₹ 18000, according to 46 percent dearness allowance, the employees will get a benefit of ₹ 720 every month. In such a situation, there will be an increase in his DA up to ₹ 8280 annually.
Fitment factor can also be increased
The fitment factor can also be increased under the 8th pay commission itself. The fitment factor currently stands at 2.57. Which is being demanded to be increased to 3.68. The basic salary of the same employees will increase from 18000 to 26000. At the same time, according to the preparation of the central government, it can be increased 3 times. With which the basic salary can increase from 18 thousand to 21000.
