There will be holidays of Janmashtami on 26th August, Eid-e-Milad (Baravfat) on 16th September, Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October, Diwali on 31st October, Govardhan Puja on 2nd November, Bhaiya Dooj/Chitragupta Jayanti on 3rd November.
Government Employees Holiday 2024: There is good news for the government employees and officers of Uttar Pradesh. The Yogi Adityanath government of the state has released the holidays calendar for 2024. Under this, 24 public holidays and 29 restricted holidays are included, whereas in the year 2023 there were 25 public holidays and 31 restricted holidays, out of which two holidays are falling on Sunday and three are on Saturday, hence it has reduced.
Holiday declared on birth anniversary of Chaudhary Charan Singh
The special thing is that in this calendar, a government holiday has also been declared on the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh, which falls on 23 December. Due to closing on 31st March, there will be a holiday in all banks, treasuries and sub-treasuries on 1st April.
Apart from this, in the year 2024, Holika Dahan will be celebrated on 24th March, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Jayanti on 14th April, Mahavir Jayanti on 21st April and Bhaiya Jayanti on 3rd November. Dooj is falling on Sunday. These four public holidays are falling on Sunday. Under the executive order, the government has declared holidays on Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti and Guru Tegh Bahadur Martyrdom Day.
In the order issued by the government, it has been said that if any festival/festival, national festival and the birth date of great men fall together on the same date/day, then in such a case a separate public holiday will not be declared. The dates of all public holidays of the year 2024 i.e. Shak Samvat 1945-1946 and Vikram Samvat 2080-2081 are under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
