On Tuesday, October 11, once again an important cabinet meeting has been called under the chairmanship of CM Jai Ram Thakur, in which many big decisions can be taken including retirement age, 3 percent dearness allowance, DA arrears and grade pay. The same will be done by the CM in different districts. Most of the announcements made are likely to be approved, as the model code of conduct for the assembly elections may soon come into force in the state.
In this cabinet meeting of CM Jai Ram Thakur, 3 percent dearness allowance (DA Hike) can be given to employees and pensioners. Since the central government has announced to give two installments of DA to employees and pensioners, three and four percent respectively, The state government has to take a final decision on this. This will benefit every employee up to Rs 5000 per month. At present, the employees are getting 31% DA which will reach 34 percent.
It is likely that it is being approved in the cabinet meeting today and notification may be issued before October 15, so that it can be implemented, as the model code of conduct may be imposed in the state any time in view of the upcoming elections. There may also be a proposal to raise the retirement age of class IV employees to 60 years. It is believed that the issues on which the Jairam government has not been able to take any decision so far, will be discussed by the government in its last cabinet.
Decision on policy also possible
Apart from this, a decision is also expected on NHM employee policy and fire employee pay discrepancy. In the fire department, the employees working in the field are getting less allowance and the office workers are being given more allowance, so it can be made uniform in the cabinet. Decision on pay discrepancy
