The policy was issued by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Under this, the power company will deduct the compensation amount directly from the salary of those employees, whose mistake has led to compensation. This information has been given by M. Devraj, Chairman, Power Corporation. According to him, it will be reviewed by the Director Commercial of all power companies.

Power Corporation management says that the problem of consumers is not being resolved on time under the law. Along with this, the compensation to be made will be deducted from the salary of the concerned employees. The deducted amount will be adjusted in the consumer’s bill as compensation.

Salary will be deducted from these workers

Responsibility is fixed from bottom to top for giving connections, removing meter complaints, revising electricity bills, replacing transformers in case of failure, repairing etc. When the compensation is claimed, it is seen at what level the mistake or negligence has happened. The level at which this negligence would have taken place, deduction will be made from the salary of the employees.

These will be the rules

The Consumer’s Compensation Act enacted by the Electricity Regulatory Commission has now become effective in the state. Complaint on 1912 then will be able to claim compensation. And for which work the commission has fixed a time limit. Consumers will be able to claim compensation if the work is not completed within that time limit.

Here Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Chairman M Devraj said that all the power companies have been directed to publicize the law and consumers should also know their rights. The amount of compensation will be given to the consumer after deducting it from the salary of the concerned guilty employees.

Not only this, Jitendra Singh Gurjar, general secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Electricity Council Engineers’ Association, has said that against 75,000 sanctioned posts, only 37,000 regular employees are working in power companies. In such a situation, once again a demand has been made to increase the number of employees. A demand is also being made to create new posts.
