7th Pay Commission, Employees Salary Hike: There is big news for the employees. Actually the Supreme Court has continued the decision of 27 July 2022. Along with this, a petition was filed on behalf of the Central and State Government against the recommendation of the commission. The petition has been dismissed. Not only this, while giving important orders, the Supreme Court has also ordered payment of arrears in three instalments.
A petition was filed in the Supreme Court regarding the increase in the salary of judicial officers. On which the Supreme Court has continued the decision of 27 July 2022. It was recommended by the Second National Judicial Commission. In which it was said that there should be an increase in the salary of the judicial officer and it should be implemented soon.

At the same time, the petition of the All India Judges Association was heard by the Supreme Court in this matter. Considering the petition, the Supreme Court had given its verdict. In which it was said on July 27 that judicial officers do not come under the commission constituted by any government, for this reason their pay scale should be increased.

Following the direction of the Supreme Court, a review petition was filed on behalf of the Center and some states. The petition has been dismissed by the Supreme Court. At the same time, its order of 27 July 2022 has been maintained. Whereas, a division bench of CJI Chandrachud, Justice Krishna Murari and Justice Hima Kohli said that no error has been clarified in front of the record, in such a situation, the salary of judicial officers should be increased as per the recommendation of the commission.
Arrears will be paid
The Supreme Court has directed the Central and State Governments that the dues should be paid to the officers in three instalments. 23 percent in the first installment, 23 percent after 3 months and payment of the entire arrears by June 2023 should be ensured.
Earlier, in 2017, the Apex Second National Judicial Pay Commission was constituted to review the pay scales and other conditions of officers belonging to the subordinate judiciary. In which a bench of Justices J Chelameswar, Abdul Nazeer appointed former Supreme Court judge Justice PP Reddy as the commission chairman and former Kerala High Court judge and senior Supreme Court lawyer R Vasanth as members.
