Employees Salary hike: There is good news for the contract employees of Punjab. The Bhagwant Mann government of the state has given a big gift to the employees before Eid. The state government has increased the salaries of the employees by 15 to 40 per cent. The Finance Department has issued an order in this regard.
One time hike, new rates applicable from 1st April
According to the news of Amar Ujala, the Punjab government has increased the salary of the employees posted on contract basis in various departments. According to the order issued by the Finance Department, the salary of the employees has been increased by 15 to 40 percent. After this, now the employees getting 10 thousand salary will get 14 thousand.

Know whose salary will increase by how much
- The employees whose monthly salary is Rs 10,000 will now get Rs 14,000 per month with an increase of 40 per cent.
- There has been a 30 per cent increase in the salary of employees drawing monthly salary from Rs 10,001 to Rs 15,000.
- Those earning Rs 15,001 to Rs 20,000 per month have now got 25 per cent more and those earning Rs 20,000 and above have been increased by 15 per cent.
36000 employees will be permanent
It is noteworthy that recently the Punjab government has decided to confirm 36000 contract employees working in various departments, under this contract, outsourced employees will get a chance to remain in the job for 58 years under special cadre. Under this decision, a notification has also been issued by the Chief Minister to confirm 8736 teachers.
On behalf of the state government, all the raw workers have been asked to join the special cadre, in which the terms and conditions will be applicable under the Punjab Service Act only. At present, applications have been sought from the employees on behalf of the state government.
