In fact, in the cabinet meeting chaired by CM Bhupesh Patel on Wednesday, it has been decided to increase the salaries of 61,560 fixed-pay employees of the state by 30%. This decision of the state government will be effective from October 1, 2023. This decision will benefit 61,560 employees of the state and their families. With this, an amount of up to Rs 50,000 will come into the accounts of the employees in November.
Employees were demanding salary increase for a long time
Let us tell you that the fixed pay employees were demanding salary increase for a long time, they had also written letters to the state government regarding this, on which it has now been agreed. At present the employees are getting Rs 19 thousand. Salary is being received every month and now if it increases by 30 percent then there will be a big jump in the salary. Earlier, the state government had taken a big decision for contractual employees. The state government will provide financial assistance of Rs 14 lakh to the dependents of a contractual employee who dies while on duty. A circular in this regard was issued by the General Administration Department.
Whose salary will increase by how much after 30% salary increase?
- After increasing the pay by 30 percent by the State Government, the existing monthly fixed pay of Class III employees with Grade Pay Rs 4400 will be Rs. Rs 38,090 to Rs 49,600.
- The current monthly fixed pay of Class III employees with grade pay 4200 and 2800 will be Rs 31,340 to Rs 40,800.
- The existing monthly fixed pay of Class-III employees in Grade Pay 2400, 2000, 1900 and 1800 will be Rs 19,950 to Rs 26,000.
- The existing monthly fixed pay of Class IV employees with Grade Pay Rs 1650, 1400 and 1300 will be Rs 16,224 to Rs 21,100.
- This decision will increase the burden of the state government’s treasury by Rs 548.64 crore annually.
