Employees Salary Update: There is a relief news for the employees of Muzaffarpur Municipal Corporation of Bihar. Apart from the Municipal Corporation, the employees working in other municipal bodies including the Municipal Council of the district can soon get the benefit of the seventh pay scale. It is reported that after the decision of Patna High Court, its preparations have started at the departmental level, the department has sought information from all the bodies regarding the seventh pay scale to the employees.
Department asked for information, benefits may be available soon
In fact, according to the charge news, at present there are many municipal corporations of Bihar including Darbhanga, Bhagalpur, Gaya where the seventh pay scale is already implemented for the employees and they are getting benefits. The proposal to implement the same in Muzaffarpur Municipal Corporation has already been passed by the Empowered Standing Committee and the Corporation Board, but till date it has not been implemented.
But when this matter reached the High Court, during the hearing of CWJC of Patna High Court on April 10, the Urban Development and Housing Department was ordered to give the seventh pay scale to the employees working in all the municipal bodies equally. A fine of Rs 10,000 has also been imposed for disobeying the earlier order.
After the order of Patna High Court, now the department has sought all the information related to income and expenditure from all the municipal bodies and has asked how much the expenditure on the department will increase due to this. It is reported that the Municipal Corporation has sent its details to the department and now the department is busy in further preparations. There will be no delay in employees’ salaries now
According to media reports, due to delay in salary of Ludhiana Municipal Corporation employees, the Commissioner has decided that if carelessness is taken in preparing salary bills, the clerk will not get salary for 2 months. The Commissioner has ordered all the branches to ensure that the salary bills of the employees are prepared and sent to the account branch by the 7th of the month. Despite this, if any clerk does not prepare the salary bills and send them to the account branch by the 7th, then his Will not receive salary for 2 months.
