CM can announce 4 percent hike soon, after which DA of employees will be 38 percent and there will be a bumper jump in salary.
The wait for 4 percent dearness allowance of lakhs of employees and pensioners of Uttarakhand may be over. The payment of dearness allowance is likely to increase the expenditure on the exchequer by Rs 576 crore annually. 2 lakh employees will get the benefit of this. The way for the same promotion is also expected to be cleared.
Actually, at present the employees and pensioners are getting 34 percent dearness allowance. Employees’ organizations have demanded from the state government to give the benefit of centrally equal dearness allowance (DA Hike). The DA of the employees will be 38 percent. If the DA increases, then there will be a bumper jump in the salary of the employees.
In the meeting held recently, the cabinet had authorized Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to take a decision on this proposal. After this, the Finance Department sent the file to CM House regarding the DA increase. The same promotion related file has also been sent to the CM’s office. The files of both the proposals are under consideration in the Chief Minister’s Office. In the meeting with Additional Chief Secretary Finance Anand Bardhan, it was agreed that instead of the condition of the best in the ACR, the benefit of doing the best should be given from 2017.
It is reported that a proposal file from the Finance Department in this regard has been sent to the Chief Minister’s Office for approval, on which a decision is to be taken. For both the demands, the State Employees Joint Council has requested the Chief Minister to take a decision soon. It is being speculated that DA and promotion can be announced on Uttarakhand Foundation Day. This will benefit lakhs of employees of the state and there will be a bumper jump in salary.
