The government will soon once again send a hefty amount to the account of the employees. As per the latest update, a time has been fixed for talks with the Cabinet Secretary on the outstanding arrears of 18 months. It is believed that the government may soon give its decision on the arrears for 18 months.
Arrears were frozen during the Corona period
Tell that during the Corona period, the dearness allowance of the employees was frozen by the government. Dearness Allowance for December 2021 was announced by the Central Government in March 2021, along with freezing of Dearness Allowance from January 2020 to July 2021. However, 2022 has seen an increase in the dearness allowance of the employees twice.
Once again the possibility of payment of arrears is fast
Here the employees have been demanding the amount of outstanding arrears for a long time. Earlier the payment of this amount was refused by the Central Government. After the matter reached the Supreme Court, the Supreme Court, while giving directions in this matter, said that the dearness allowance of the employees can be stopped but it cannot be rejected. The government should reconsider this.
In such a situation, there seems to be a consensus once again on the 18-month arrears of the employees. If the dues of the arrears are paid to the central employees under the Seventh Pay Commission, then a huge amount will be seen in their account. With the arrears of three times, an increase of up to two lakh can be seen in the account of the employees. There is no official confirmation as of now.
You will get this much arrears
According to Shiv Gopal Mishra of National Council of JCM, different area amount is fixed for the employees. Arrears to be paid to class 1 employees ranging from Rs 11880 to Rs 37000. Same for Level 13 employees, the amount can range from Rs 123100 to Rs 215900 while for Level 14 employees, the amount of arrears can range from Rs 144200 to Rs 218200.
DA will increase
At the same time, an increase will also be seen in the DA DR of the employees. Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief are revised every year on 1st January and 1st July. At present, there was an increase of 4 percent in the dearness allowance of central employees. After which 68 lakh pensioners including 48 lakh employees were benefited. Now once again the possibility of increase in dearness allowance has intensified.
AICPI statistics
According to media reports, in March 2023, an increase of 3 to 5 percent can be seen in dearness allowance and dearness relief. With this increase, the dearness allowance of the employees will see an increase of up to 43%. In fact, the 12-month average percentage increase of the All India Consumer Price Index for the financial year ending June 2022 is used to calculate the Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief increase. AICPI figures have been released. Under which it is estimated that March 2023 will see an increase of 3% to 5% in Dearness Allowance.
