- To check your PF balance, give a missed call on 011-22901406 from your registered mobile.
- The call will be automatically disconnected after ringing and immediately after that you will get an SMS with information about your EPF account data.
- In this message, there will be information about the balance of your EPF account.
Now you can easily know your EPF balance from your registered mobile number. To check your PF balance online, you have to send an SMS to EPFO. By sending an SMS to 7738299899, you can check your balance by giving your UAN and the last four digits of your bank account number. However, for this your mobile number should be registered with EPFO.
How to check balance on online portal
- First of all, click on Know Your UAN on EPFO’s e-Sewa website, then you will get the login page.
- UAN is a 12 digit number that is given to all EPFO members.
- EPFO employee has to login on EPFO’s website with UAN number.
- After this, you have to click on the member passbook. Here you can see your passbook.
- You can also check the passbook by opening the EPFO site on your mobile.

Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) provides the facility of EPF and EPS schemes to its members. Under EPF, a retirement fund is available on retirement, while in the EPS scheme, a fixed amount is received every month as pension on retirement by the members. 12-12% of the employee’s basic salary and dearness allowance (dearness allowance) is deposited in the EPF account. But, the amount of 12% of the employer is deposited in two parts. Out of 12% contribution of the employer, 8.33% amount is deposited in the employee pension account and the remaining 3.67% amount goes to the EPF account.
