The Central Government has once again given great relief to the railway employees. In fact, orders have been issued regarding the payment of family pension, death gratuity and other dues on the death of a railway servant while in service. According to the order issued, soon the benefit of family pension will be given to the railway employees.
In this case, while issuing the order, the court said that a letter was issued on four 2021. Where did I go to DoPPW’s Office Memorandum that orders were issued providing
instructions regarding payment of family pension, death gratuity and other dues on death of Railway employees while in service. On which clarification was sought on the instructions of the Railway Board.
The same issue has once again been examined by the Department of Pensions and Pensioners’ Welfare and it has been clarified that these orders are also applicable in respect of those employees as per the instructions issued on 4th June, 2021. Those who have retired before the date of issue or died while in service.
The same orders are also applicable to those employees, who are included in the old pension scheme – NPS according to the order issued. Their family pension, gratuity and other dues will be paid at the earliest.
Apart from this, an order was issued with reference to 3 May 2019. In which, in view of the disruption caused by the Corona epidemic in the last 2 years, it has also been decided to
extend the relaxation period till May 2023 for the attainment of minimum educational qualifications of railway employees, for which the terms and conditions have been kept as before.
