Festive Special Train 2023: In view of the large crowd of passengers during Diwali and Chhath festival, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced to run 283 special trains.
The festive season has started and the crowd in trains has also started increasing. In such a situation, if you are planning to go home on Diwali and Chhath festival, but are worried due to not getting a confirmed ticket, then there is relief news for you. In fact, in view of the large crowd of passengers during Diwali and Chhath festival, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced to run 283 special trains.
The Railway Minister tweeted that on Chhath and Diwali, 283 trains will make a total of 4,480 trips to take passengers to their destination. All these special trains will be operated in different zones.

283 festival special trains will operate in 13 railway zones
According to the Railways, East Central Railway is going to run a total of 42 special trains which will make a total of 512 trips. Whereas Western Railway will operate 36 special trains. These trains will make a total of 1,262 trips to take the passengers to their destination. Whereas North Western Railways will operate a total of 1,208 trains through 24 special trains.

- North Eastern Railway (NER): 4
- NFR: 22
- North Western Railway (NWR): 24
- Southern Railway (SR) : 10

Railways runs special trains every year.
It is noteworthy that during the festive season, a huge crowd of passengers is seen in the trains. During Diwali-Chhath, trains going towards UP-Bihar are most crowded. In such a situation, considering the rush of passengers, Railways runs special trains every year.
