Flat rate increase: According to data, house rents in Pune increased by 17-18 percent during the period under review. House rents in Chennai increased by nine to 12 percent from January to September. In the National Capital Region (NCR)-Delhi region, fares increased by 11 percent on Sohna Marg in Gurugram, by 13 percent in Sector 150 in Noida and by 14 percent in Dwarka, Delhi.

Flat rate increase : In seven major cities of the country, the monthly flat rents have increased by nine to 31 percent in the first nine months of the current calendar year. Giving this information, real estate advisory firm Anarock said that the highest increase in rent has happened in Bengaluru. According to data released by Anarock, house rents are continuously increasing in seven cities, of which information technology (IT) hubs Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Pune are at the forefront.

Rents for a standard 2BHK (bedroom-hall-kitchen) flat of 1,000 sq ft in Whitefield, Bengaluru, increased by 31 per cent in the first nine months of this year. After this is Sarjapur Road, where the rent of such houses increased by 27 percent. The average monthly rent for a 1,000 sq ft flat in Whitefield increased from Rs 24,600 per month by the end of 2022 to Rs 28,500 per month by the end of September.

Anarock Chairman Anuj Puri said, ‘After a huge decline during the first and second wave of Covid, there has been a surge in residential rents. He said that in the first nine months of this year, house rents in the top seven cities saw an increase of more than 30 percent. Apart from this, the average house rent in Hyderabad increased by 16 percent, while in Gadchiroli the house rent increased by 24 percent.

According to the rate data of Delhi-NCR
