Flight Cancel: Prayagraj Airport officials say that the timing issued for flights under the winter season will be effective for five months from October 29, 2023 to March 30, 2024. Meanwhile, flights will also remain canceled for some days.
Flight Cancel: Timings of all flights coming and going from Bamrauli Airport of Prayagraj will change from next month. Winter schedule for flights will be implemented by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). Prayagraj Airport officials having knowledge of the matter said this.
It was told that the winter program will be effective for five months. This timing will be from 29th October (Sunday) to 30th March (Saturday). Officials have confirmed that this time no information about any new flights has been given in the time table released for the winter schedule.
New timing of flights:
In such a situation, now Prayagraj-Mumbai flight will take off one hour earlier at 1.30 instead of 2.30 and its arrival here will now be at 12.55 instead of 2.50. Similarly, the flight to Bengaluru, which is currently scheduled at 11.25 am, will take off from Prayagraj at 3.55 pm and will arrive at Prayagraj at 10.40 am instead of 10.55 am. Similarly, the flight coming from Lucknow will now arrive at 11.15 am instead of 8.45 am. Its departure time will be 4.50 pm. Right now it is 5 o’clock in the evening. The flight to Dehradun will also take off at 12 noon instead of 9.05 am.
Along with this, Alliance Air has also changed the timings of its Delhi and Bilaspur flights. The Delhi flight will depart from here at 3.55 pm instead of 2.10 pm. Its arrival time in Sangam city will be 11.55 am instead of 10.20 am. Prayagraj has not received any new flights in the winter schedule. Prayagraj-Indore flight has also not been mentioned in the winter schedule, which means it will operate only till October 28.
Many flights canceled in view of IAF air show
The Indian Air Force (IAF) will celebrate its 91st anniversary with a mega air display in Sangam city on October 8. President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are among the many leaders who are expected to attend the event. Due to the arrival of Air Force planes here in view of the air show and the rehearsals before it, operation of many flights from Prayagraj Airport will be affected for several days in October.
At present, many flights have been canceled from Prayagraj airport between October 3 and 8, including flights between Sangam city and Indore, Raipur, Lucknow and Dehradun. Airlines have stopped booking flights to these cities from October 3 to October 8.
