Money will be transferred through DBT
In Uttar Pradesh, about 1 crore 75 lakh gas connections have been given under the Ujjwala scheme. This time on the occasion of Diwali, for the first time the government will transfer the money for gas cylinders into the accounts. This money will be transferred to the accounts of gas connection holders through DBT.
Meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary
A decision on this matter has been taken under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary in Lucknow. Cabinet approval will soon be taken on this proposal of the Food and Logistics Department and it will be completed before Diwali.
Funds released in the budget
On the occasion of the last assembly elections, BJP had announced to give free gas cylinders to women on Holi and Diwali in the public welfare resolution letter. A provision of Rs 3301.74 crore was made in the budget to implement this scheme.
