Today in futures trade, the price of gold increased by Rs 151 to Rs 60,262 per 10 grams. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for December delivery rose by Rs 151, or 0.25 per cent, to Rs 60,262 per 10 gram with a turnover of 9,298 lots.

Globally, gold futures rose 0.25 per cent to US$1,969.20 an ounce in New York.

Silver prices increased

In futures trade on Thursday, the price of silver increased by Rs 243 to Rs 72,615 per kg. Today, on the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for December delivery rose by Rs 243, or 0.84 per cent, to Rs 72,615 per kg in 18,177 lots.

Globally, silver was trading 0.35 per cent higher at $23.62 an ounce in New York.
