Government Employee DA Hike 2023: There is good news for lakhs of government employees and pensioners of Tamil Nadu. The Stalin government of the state has given New Year’s gift to its employees and pensioners. CM M.K. Stalin has announced 4 per cent dearness allowance for employees, teachers, pensioners and family pensioners. After this increase, the total dearness allowance of state employees will be 38 per cent.
The Tamil Nadu government has given a New Year gift to the government employees, teachers and pensioners of the state. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has announced a 4% hike in Dearness Allowance for government employees including teachers, pensioners and family pensioners. Now the dearness allowance of government employees will be increased from 34% to 38% with immediate effect. This will be applicable from January 1, 2023. This decision of the state government will benefit 16 lakh employees.
This decision will put an additional annual expenditure of Rs 2,359 crore on the state government. A statement issued by the CM’s office said it will set up a committee headed by the state’s finance secretary to look into the teacher’s demand for equal pay for equal work. A committee of three top officials will be constituted under the chairmanship of Finance Secretary (Expenditure). The state government has decided to take steps based on the recommendations of the committee.
