Employees will get the benefit of this pay scale from January 1, 2016. However the actual benefit will be applicable from the date of issue of notification.

Employees 7th Pay Scale: Retired non-teaching staff, including employees working in state universities and colleges, will be given the benefit of the seventh pay scale. Approval has been given on this proposal in the cabinet. The proposal was prepared by the Higher and Technical Education Department. On which the approval of the Finance Department was given. After this, it has been approved in the cabinet meeting. Now from January 1, 2016, the employees will be given the benefit of seventh pay scale.

Along with getting the seventh pay scale from 2016, the employees will also be paid their arrears. Work is also being done in this direction. How will the arrears of 6 years be paid to the employees? At present, no decision has been made on this. However, with the approval of the proposal to give the seventh pay scale to the non-teaching staff of the University College in the Jharkhand cabinet, a 20% increase in their salary is believed to be fixed.

These employees will get benefits

After this decision of the cabinet, Vinoba Bhave University including Jhansi University, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University, Nilambar Pitambar University including Kolhan, Sidhu Kanu Murmu including Vinod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University will be given the benefit of seventh pay scale. Apart from this, 1200 retired employees will also be eligible for this benefit.

Demand to increase retirement age continues

The implementation of the seventh pay scale was being demanded by the university employees for a long time. Apart from this, a demand was being made to remove the discrepancies in the fifth and sixth pay scales of many employees of the University College. However, at present no decision has been taken on this. At the same time, there is a demand to increase the retirement age of teachers and employees from 60 to 62.
