After several protests by the Anganwadi workers, the Maharashtra government has finally come up with a plan to increase their honorarium by 20%. Along with this, an increase of Rs 1700 per month will be seen in the honorarium of the workers. And now they will be given a benefit of Rs.8500 per month and assistants will be given Rs.4500 per month.

The salary of Anganwadi workers has been increased by Rs 1700, while the salary of assistants will see an increase of Rs 900. In this case, State Women and Child Welfare Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha said that minimum 20 percent increase can be seen in the salary of Anganwadi workers. On the other hand, it may be a little more for the assistants because the amount of their honorarium is very less.

Tell that at present 1.1 lakh Anganwadis while two lakh assistants are working in the state. On the other hand, they will get a big benefit from this honorarium-salary hike. The Child Welfare Minister said that the 20% increase in honorarium is almost finalised. Maharashtra currently ranks seventh and eighth in the country in paying Anganwadi workers. At the same time, with an increase of 20%, Maharashtra will be at number four in terms of salary of Anganwadi workers.
Recruitment on 20183 posts
Along with this, making a big announcement for Anganwadi workers and maids, the government has said that by May, more than 20,000 vacant posts will be filled. The recruitment process will be conducted on 20183 posts. Along with this, Rs 150 crore will be given to Anganwadi workers to buy mobile phones for their work.
