Along with the 4 percent increase in dearness allowance for central employees, the Ministry of Railways also announced a 4 percent increase in dearness allowance for its employees. Orders were also issued for this. Also, dearness allowance for railway employees was increased from 38% to 42%. Was made effective from 1 January 2023. Along with this, he was also to be paid arrears of 3 months from January to March. The increase was registered for the employees getting the seventh pay scale.
