Good news for employees! 9% increase in dearness allowance, arrears for 5 months will also be paid, order issued

The increase in dearness allowance will be implemented from July 1, 2022. Under the same new order, 5 months arrears will be paid to the employees.

There is good news for the employees. In fact, once again his dearness allowance (6th pay commission DA hike) has been increased. The dearness allowance to the employees was increased due to the Sixth Pay Commission. Orders have also been issued in this regard. Under the order issued on November 1, there has been a huge increase of 9% in dearness allowance.

This dearness allowance increase will be implemented from July 1, 2022. Under the same new order, 5 months arrears will be paid to the railway employees. Under the Sixth Pay Commission, the employees are to be given the benefit of dearness allowance.

Refer to this Ministry’s letter of even number dated 11.05.2022 (PC-VI/407, RBE No.56/2022) in which the rates of Dearness Allowance have been revised. 01.07.2021 and 01-01.2022 in respect of Railway employees who continue to draw their pay in the pre-revised pay scale/grade pay as per 6th Central Pay Commission. The rate of Dearness Allowance payable to the above category of Railway employees will be increased to 212% from the existing 203% with effect from 01.07.2022.

The provisions contained under these orders in paras 3, 4 and 5 of this Ministry’s letter of even number dated 09.09.2008 (No. PC-VI/3, RBE No. 106/2008) shall continue to be applicable while regulating Dearness Allowance. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
