4% increase in dearness allowance soon
Dearness allowance can be increased by 4% for central employees from July 1. With this increase, their dearness allowance may increase from 42% to 46%. According to the report of AICPI data, an announcement to increase DA can be made in July. At the same time, the figures till April have been released. According to the figures till April, an increase of up to 45% in dearness allowance is believed to be fixed. The index numbers for April 2023 have been released. In these, an increase of 134.02 points was seen in April as against 133.3 points in March. Along with this, a big jump of 0.72 points has been seen.
Announcement possible in October
The increase in DA may be announced by the government in the month of October. It is believed that the benefit of DA increase will be given to the employees in the festive season itself. The dearness allowance is increased by the government twice a year for the central government employees. Earlier in the month of March, the government had announced a 4 percent increase in dearness allowance. It was implemented from January 1. On the other hand, with an increase of four percent, the minimum basic salary is 18000, then they get an increase of ₹ 8640 in their account annually.
Decision on increase in minimum wage soon
Along with this, the demand for an increase in the minimum wages of the employees is being made by the employees’ organization. The employees union demands that it be increased to 3.68 while according to the government it can be increased up to 3 percent.
At present, there is no official confirmation in this. With the increase in the fitment factor, the minimum wages of the employees will see an increase. With this, their minimum pay may increase from ₹ 18000 to ₹ 26000. Elections are to be held in 2023.
