According to the order, the All India Average Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (Base 1960 = 100) for the quarter ended September 2022 is confirmed

Big relief is being given by the central government to the 7th pay commission employees continuously. Actually, on one hand, there has been a huge increase in the Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) of the employees. Many other departments have also issued orders to increase the salary of their employees. State government should give big relief to the employees continuously. Meanwhile, there has also been a huge increase in the DA of bank employees. Actually, the DA of bank employees has been increased by 30 slabs. With this, now their DA has increased to 38.92 percent.

The order confirmed the All India Average Consumer Price Index (Base 1960 = 100) for industrial workers for the quarter ended September 2022, as published by the government.

The average CPI of the above is 8576.69, according to this the number of DA slabs is 556 (8576 – 6352 = 2224/4 = 556 slabs). The last quarterly payment of DA was at 526 slab. Hence, there has been an increase in the DA slab of ’30’ i.e. 556 slab for payment of DA for the months November, December 2022 and January 2023.

The order clarified that in terms of Clause 7 of the 11th Bilateral Agreement dated 11.11.2020 and Clause 3 of the Joint Note dated 11.11.2020, the Dearness Allowance payable to employees and officer employees for the months of November, December 2022 and January 2023 shall be determined. The rate will be 38.92% of ‘Salary’. While computing the Dearness Allowance payable, the decimal from the third position may please be ignored.
