Holidays have been declared for the employees by the state government. There will be a total of 59 holidays in 2023. In which 25 public holidays have been declared. New revised holidays have also been issued in this regard.
Employees Holiday List: There is good news for the employees. They will get the benefit of public holidays. Orders have been issued for this on Wednesday. Along with this, the list of public holidays has also been issued. Two holidays will be given on Sunday. Apart from this, three local and two working holidays are also to be provided.
List of public holidays released
In fact, a total of 59 holidays are to be available to the employees in the state in 2023. In which apart from 25 public holidays, there will be 31 restricted holidays. Earlier on Wednesday, District Magistrate Sanjay Kumar Khatri has released the list of public holidays. The first local holiday of the new year will be on January 6, Paush Purnima.
The same last holiday is to be on 25 December Christmas. In the holiday list issued by the Collector on Sunday, Mohammad Hazrat Ali Yaumey was declared a public holiday on February 6. However, this will be celebrated after investigation. Also, 12 November is a Sunday on the day of Diwali. Apart from this, holidays have been issued on normal days.
As per the order issued by the collector, Paush Purnima on January 6, Moni Amavasya on January 21 and Holi on March 9 have been declared as local holidays. Along with this, executive holidays will be given on Tegh Bahadur Martyrdom Day on 24th November.
Modification of leave
Actually the holiday has been amended at the last moment. In the released list, the holiday of Guru Govind Singh Jayanti has been given on 5 January 2023 whereas this holiday was declared on 29 December 2022. In this case, it has been amended.
