JCOs/other soldiers with at least 10 years of qualifying service in the Defense Service shall be entitled to draw proportionate pension as per the provisions of this Order.

There is good news for central employees-pensioners. The Ministry of Defense issued an order related to pension, in which it has been said that JCOs / other soldiers with 10 years of service and joining PSU will be given pro-rata pension benefits. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has approved a proposal of Ex-Servicemen Department in this regard and the Ministry has issued necessary orders on 04.11.2022.

Ministry of Defense (MoD) has extended the benefit of provision of pro-rata pension to such JCOs/other soldiers of Defense Services having qualifying service of at least 10 years in Defense Services who are in Central Public Sector Enterprises/ Central Autonomous Bodies/ Central Public Sector Undertakings. Permanently absorbed/employed. Earlier this benefit was limited to commissioned officers only.

It may be mentioned that this provision will be applicable to those JCOs/other soldiers who are in Central Public Sector Enterprises/ Central Public Sector Undertakings (on or after 06.03.1985) or Central Autonomous Bodies (on or after 31.03.1987). ) are absorbed / appointed. However, financial benefit in the past cases will be allowed prospectively from the date of issue of this order.
