The formula for increasing Dearness Allowance for Central Government employees is [(Average of All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI) for last 12 months – 115.76)/115.76]×100.
Formula for calculation of DA hike of PSU employees – Now if we talk about Dearness Allowance for people working in PSUs then the method of calculation is – Dearness Allowance % = (Average of Consumer Price Index for last 3 months (Base year 2001) = 100) – 126.33))x100
42% DA Hike Salary Calculation
- Suppose your basic salary is Rs 10,000 and grade pay is Rs 1,000. Adding both, the total becomes Rs 11,000. Now with the increased 42% dearness allowance, it will be Rs 4,620. Including all your total salary was Rs 15,620. Earlier, in terms of 38% DA, you were getting a salary of Rs 15,180. That is, after increasing DA by 4%, there will be a benefit of Rs 440 every month.
- Government employees whose basic salary is Rs 18,000 will get an increase in DA of Rs 720 every month, taking their annual benefit to Rs 8,640.
- Workers whose basic salary is Rs 20,000 will get a benefit of Rs 800 every month and Rs 9,600 every year.
- If the basic pay is Rs 25,000, this increase will be Rs 1,000 per month and Rs 12,000 annually. At present, dearness allowance will be Rs 9500. But at 42 percent DA, it will become Rs 10,500, which means your salary will increase by Rs 12,000 annually.
- If the basic salary of a central employee is Rs. 25500. According to 38% DA, now Rs. 9690 is available. If the DA becomes 42 per cent, the dearness allowance will increase to Rs 10,710, which means the salary will increase by Rs 1,020 every month.
- If your basic salary is Rs 30,000, then the same benefit will be Rs 1,200 per month and Rs 14,400 annually.
- In case the basic salary is Rs 40,000, the monthly benefit of DA will be Rs 1,600 and the annual benefit will be Rs 19,200. Similarly, those getting a basic salary of Rs 50,000 will get a benefit of Rs 2,000 per month and Rs 24,000 per year.
- If the basic salary of a government employee is Rs 56,000, then DA at the rate of 38% is Rs 21,280. After an increase of 4 per cent, it will become Rs 23,520. There will be an annual benefit of Rs 26,880.
- Basic salary is Rs 60,000, they will get benefit of Rs 2,400 per month and Rs 28,800 per year from this 4% DA increase.
- Those with a basic salary of Rs 70,000 will get Rs 2,800 monthly and Rs 33,600 annually, those with a basic salary of Rs 90,000 will get Rs 3,600 per month and Rs 43,200 per year.
- Those getting a basic salary of Rs 1,00,000 will get the benefit of Rs 4,000 per month and Rs 48,000 per year in total salary after a 4 percent increase in dearness allowance.
- Those with a basic salary of Rs 1,50,000 will get Rs 6,000 more per month and Rs 72,000 per year, and those with a basic salary of Rs 2,00,000 will get Rs 8,000 per month and Rs 96,000 per year after this increase.
- If the basic salary of an employee is Rs 2.50 lakh per month, then his annual salary will increase by Rs 1,20,000.
42% DR Hike Pension Calculation
If a pensioner’s basic pension is Rs 31,550, due to 38 per cent dearness relief, DR was getting Rs 11,989 per month. After 42 per cent, the DR for pensioners will be Rs 13,251. This means that after the increase of 4 per cent, a basic pension recipient of Rs 31,550 in DR will get Rs 1,262 per month. Along with this, pensioners will get Rs 2,524 extra as arrears of two months on the basis of Rs 1,262.
