There is good news for lakhs of government employees-pensioners of Jharkhand. The Hemant Soren government of the state may increase the dearness allowance by 4 percent before Diwali.
An important cabinet meeting is going to be held under the chairmanship of CM Soren on October 10, there is a possibility that the proposal for DA increase can be put in it. At present, the employees are getting the benefit of 34% dearness allowance, after this increase it will be 38%. About 20 lakh employees of the state will get its benefit.
After the Center, now the process of increasing dearness allowance has started in the states. Now the Jharkhand government is preparing to increase the DA of the state employees by 4 percent. This will benefit 19,3000 employees of the state. It is reported that Chief Minister Hemant Soren has agreed to the proposal related to this, after which the Finance Department has sent the proposal for cabinet approval. This proposal will be placed in the cabinet meeting to be held on October 10. The benefit of increased dearness allowance is expected to be received from October or November this month.
The state government will increase the DA from the date of July 1, 2022, in which case arrears of 3 months will also be available. The increase in DA will put an additional burden of 42 crores on the government. With the increase in DA, the salary of the workers can increase from 500 to 10000 rupees. Its benefit will be available to all the working government and state employees receiving the seventh pay scale. However, due to non-updation of data, the pensioners may have to wait a bit, at present there are 135000 pensioners in the state.
