At present MP pensioners are getting the benefit of 33% dearness relief, while government employees are being given 38% dearness allowance, in such a situation now the Shivraj government is preparing to increase the dearness relief of pensioners by 5%. So that the DR of pensioners increases from 33 per cent to 38 per cent. For this, the Finance Department has made a proposal and sent it to the Bhupesh Baghel government of Chhattisgarh for approval, its orders will be issued as soon as approval is received from here and then pensioners’ pension will start increasing.

Finance Department wrote a letter

The special thing is that it will be implemented from January 2023. For this, the Secretary of the Finance Department has written a letter to the Finance Department of the Government of Chhattisgarh seeking consent. Orders will be issued as soon as the Chhattisgarh government’s consent is received. Please tell that when the dearness allowance of the employees was increased to 34 percent, then the dearness relief was made to 33 percent because the Chhattisgarh government had agreed to increase it by only five percent.

Last time there was an increase in November

Significantly, earlier in November, five percent dearness relief was increased. According to the order issued by the Finance Department of the Government of Madhya Pradesh, an increase in 5 percent dearness relief to 4.50 lakh pensioners of the state was implemented from October 1, 2022. In this, dearness relief of pensioners receiving pension under the sixth pay scale was increased by 12% and Relief increase of 5% was given to the pensioners under the seventh pay scale. At present, the pensioners under the sixth pay scale are getting the benefit of 201% and the pensioners under the seventh pay scale are getting 33% dearness relief.
