There is relief news for lakhs of ration card holders. They will be given the benefit of Ayushman card. Along with this, instructions have been given to distribute ration to all the ration card beneficiaries within two days.
Ration card Benefit : If you are a ration card holder and are taking advantage of the government’s free ration scheme, then this news is very important. A new update has come out regarding Ayushman Card which is very important for ration card holders to know. If you are a new ration card holder then you will not get the benefit of Ayushman card at present. However, there is no need to worry about this.
Benefits of Ayushman card only to previous card holders
Let us tell you that at present only card holders before 2019 will get the benefit of Ayushman Card. Under the government’s ambitious Ayushman Bharat scheme, Ayushman Golden Card holders can get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh in a year in any government and empaneled hospital. Earlier, the benefits of Ayushman Card were not being provided to the ration card holders. This facility was being provided only to the very poor including Antyodaya ration card holders.
However, now the government has made important amendments in the scheme. In which the order has been given to link the eligible household cardholder with this condition. In which there are at least 6 members in the family. Only the ration card holders before 2019 are being given the benefit of this facility. For now, new ration card holders will have to wait to avail the benefits of Ayushman Yojana.
E-KYC mandatory
Big preparations have been made by the Himachal government, in which ration card holders will get important benefits. E-KYC is to be started once again. Preparations for this have been started by the department. To bring transparency in ration distribution, the Aadhaar number of the consumer is being registered in his ration card. The process of doing e-KYC will start from 21st October i.e. today.
This work was stopped due to technical fault. The Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs clarified that it is very mandatory for ration card holders to get e-KYC done for ration distribution. This process is required to be completed by 31 October 2023.
Ration will be distributed to ration card holders in Bihar before Durga Puja. Before Saptami of Shardiya Navratri, instructions were given to distribute ration among the beneficiaries. However, in some blocks, ration cards are still being distributed at PDF shops.
The food grains will be distributed under all circumstances till 22nd October. If any complaint of irregularity in ration distribution is received, major action can be taken at the ration distribution centre.
