Teachers Salary: There is good news for the teachers of the state. Actually teachers will now get the benefit of increased salary grant. Efforts were being made for this by the teachers for a long time. However, now the results of that effort have been found. Giving information by teacher MLA Kishore Darade, it was said that now the salary of such teachers has not been started, they will be given the benefit of increased salary.

Grants have been sanctioned for schools eligible for grants in primary, secondary and higher secondary schools of the state, which remain in the further stage of grant. Along with this, the decision to declare them eligible for school grant has also been taken by the education department. About 9000 teachers of Nashik department will get its benefit. However, in such a situation, those teachers will get the benefit. Those who have not started getting salary yet.

Additional expenditure of Rs 50 crore
It has been decided to qualify the state’s primary, secondary and higher secondary schools and units in grant amount. Under this decision, 20% grant has been approved for more than 2,000 teaching and non-teaching staff working in 135 schools and 669 units. After which the state government will see an additional expenditure of Rs 50 crore every year.

20% salary benefit
Along with this, 40% grant amount has been approved for 3189 teachers and non-teaching staff working in 758 units of 284 schools. On which Rs 55.51 crore will be spent every year. Due to this decision of the government, those teachers who have not started paying salary, were given the benefit of 20% and those teachers who were given 20% salary. They will be given the benefit of 40% of the salary. Such teachers who were provided 40% salary grant. They will be given the benefit of 60% subsidy.

In the matter, teacher MLA Kishore Darade said that teachers have been teaching in schools without salary for 15 years. The problem of wages remained acute. For 4-5 years continuously the teachers were drawing the attention of the MLA and the government. There was also a padyatra from Pune to Mumbai including the strike movement for teachers’ salary. Finally, now the hearing has been fixed in favor of the teachers. Darade said that earlier in November 2020, the government had increased the salary of teachers by 20 percent.
