Dress allowance is to be paid to the employees under the scheme. Orders in this regard have been issued by the Defense Ministry. This allowance will be paid to the employees as per the process of the order. For which terms and conditions have also been prescribed.
Employees Dress Allowances: There is big news for the employees. Actually they will be given the benefit of the new allowance. for which the order has been issued. Under the order issued by the Ministry, the amount has been fixed for the allowance to be provided to the employees. The amount will be determined by the process every year to the employees. In the form of this allowance, the employees will be given a benefit of Rs 10,000 per year.
Finalization of rate of Dress Allowance in respect of one Agniveer as per Ministry of Defense Order DMA/JS(N&DS)/2021/Agneepath-01 dated 15.06.2022 and Government’s decision to implement Agneepath Scheme, 2022 given, which would be as follows:
Rate of Dress Allowance:
10,000/- to Agniveer enrolled under Agneepath Scheme, 2022.
- The amount of dress allowance will be directly deposited in the bank account of Agniveer in the month of July. The disbursement of payment of Dress Allowance is explained below with an example:
- The dress will be provided by the government to the employees who attended the training on 01 November 2022 by Agniveer.
- On completion of Agniveer training, he will report to units on 01 May 2023, while proportionate payment for the months of 23 May and 23 June = Rs (10000*2/12) = Rs. 1667/- will be Rs.
- Payment on July 2023 Rs. 10,000 will be Rs.
- Payment on July 2024 Rs. 10,000 will be Rs.
- Payment on July 2025 Rs. 10,000 will be Rs.
- Payment on July, 2026 Pro-rata payment for 4 months from July, 2026 to October, 2026 = Rs. (10000*4/12) = Rs. 3333/- will be Rs.
- This allowance covers only the basic uniform of Agniveer. Any special clothing jike provided on Siachen Glacier or inside the submarine will be additionally provided.
During the training period, the dress will be issued to the Agniveers at the government cost. - The list of dress/uniform/items covered under Dress Allowance will be issued by the Services Headquarters (SHQ) with the approval of the Administrative Ministry concerned and will not be provided by the Government.
- The list of eligible clothing for Special Forces/Aviation Extreme Cold Climate (ECC)/Siachen Glacier etc. will be provided by the Government with the approval of the
- Administrative Ministry concerned, Service Headquarters (SHQ).
Recovery of Dress Allowance:
- In the case of existing Agniveers/Tyagis with their own consent, the dress allowance will be recovered at the following rates:-
- Those who go out of their own free will in the month of July to September – Rs. 5000
- Voluntary outages in the month of October to December – Rs. 2500
- Those who go out of their own free will in the month of January to June – Zero
Dress allowance not recovered for these reasons - No recovery of Dress Allowance should be made in case of death/disablement of Agniveer due to reasons beyond his control.
